Meet our colleague Liza! Liza has been with Orchard for quite some time, working as an HR Advisor and is an indispensable part of the team. With her enthusiasm and keen eye for detail, she ensures everything runs smoothly. Curious to learn more about Liza’s journey and what it’s like to work at Orchard? Then read on quickly.

Could you tell us a bit about yourself and your background?

Five years ago, I started at Orchard as a secretary. Before that, I spent a year studying to become a primary school teacher, but then decided to pursue a study at Schoevers. Through Schoevers and my work at Orchard, I discovered what I enjoy doing. Thanks to Orchard, I was able to study part-time. In the summer of 2023, I completed my HRM degree at Avans University of Applied Sciences. Now, I enjoy my role as an HR Advisor at Orchard even more!

I was born and raised on Aruba, which still holds a special place in my heart. Today, I live with my husband in the small village of Schoonrewoerd. Last year, we became the proud parents of our beautiful daughter, Isabella.

Which milestones or developments at Orchard are you most proud of?

The biggest achievement was completing my studies last year. Sometimes it was a challenge to balance both work and studies, but Orchard gave me the flexibility to focus on my education without it becoming overwhelming. I’m proud of what I’ve achieved.

This year, we also rolled out a new HR cycle. It was a significant project, and now we’re live!

What qualities do you value most in your colleagues?

We’re a small organization, which means everyone is very engaged with one another. There’s genuine interest, and people are always willing to help. It’s also a bonus that many of us are quite sporty.

What energizes you in your free time?

I’m a real family person and love spending time with them.

What’s something interesting about you that isn’t on your cv?

I secretly love singing and get super competitive when it comes to playing games.
